Selected Profiles from Pendleton County History contains 50 biographical sketches of local historic figures. Some are enhanced versions that were published earlier in Pendleton County Historical Society Newsletters. Others were written to fill in gaps in county history. A few are contributions from other researchers, Greg Adamson and Jack Bowers. The material is organized into three time periods of county history. An Appendix highlights the institutional contribution of the Pendleton County Historical Society, founded in 1926, and recognizes the individual contributions of its past leaders.
